Modern Japanese-style Top/Jacket

I would probably actually combine the two jackets on this page- I love the cuffs and general color placement on the one I pulled the picture from, but I prefer the openable collar and pockets on the other, so I would probably make the left one, but with at least a partial opening up the front, possibly a full front zip.

The monochrome is nice, but not so much my style. I would probably do at least brown and cream instead of the gray and black, with brass or shell buttons. That's assuming I didn't find some nice vivid color combination I loved for it anyway. :-)
