The wabi sabi feel of this teacup can be found in the quirks and anomalies of its glaze, which add uniqueness and elegance. Having a light colored teacup always helps to see the tea infusion color, which is particularly important to Japanese tea connoisseurs. added on 2007-04-07

This set of four shot glasses are made of a white stoneware clay. They where thrown on my pottery wheel. The plaid surfaces are added by hand in a process called slip trailing, which is similar to cake decorating. Three of the four glasses are a dark blue with black plaid lines, and a pale blue glaze inside; one is white with pink and blue lines and a pink glaze inside. added on 2007-03-25

"I use a combination of slip casting and hand building techniques to create forms with many components, often recreating objects and placing them out of context. For example, I frequently use a tap as a mug handle or a teapot lid. Their surfaces make reference to utilitarian wares from industrial ceramic history, including mocha ware, Cornish ware and blue and white porcelain. Floral transfers and metallic lustres are the finishing touches to create eclectic pieces that are precious and collectable yet ordinary and familiar." added on 2007-03-20
