The magnetic toaster tong is the invention of Jonathan Simons of Jonathan's Wild Cherry Spoons. It is designed to stick to the side of the toaster waiting for the next bagel or english muffin it'll help you retrieve from the red hot toaster slot. Jonathan's artist statement reads,

"It was time for lunch but I had no spoon for my soup. I worked in a custom furniture shop and there was plenty of wood around so I made my first spoon and ate my soup. Wooden spoons have served me ever since, as I continue to create from a serendipity of need.

My designs are crafted by hand with balance and usefulness in mind. They are cut from select cherry wood and carefully sanded so they are smooth and soft in your hand. My spoons will serve you with pleasure for many years."

You're taking home a true American craft with one of Jonathan's handcrafted designs. added on 2008-04-03

This feline is just a little too curious about that goldfish in the bowl. Will these pets coexist in peace or will this end badly? A great gift for cat lovers, but not so sure about aquarium keepers!

This high-relief tile is hand pressed in stoneware and glazed in cobalt blue, which is sponged off the raised portions, emphasizing its sculptural dimension.

Tile measures roughly 5 and 5/8 inches high by 5 and 5/8 inches wide and is about 5/8 of an inch thick at the edges to about an inch deep at its thickest point.

It is notched on the back so it can hang on a nail. added on 2008-04-03

How does your garden grow? With a little water of course!

Spread some spring cheer with this friendly froggie watering can. He'll perk up any porch and make gardening that much more fun (for those of us that have a green thumb). Or, just set him out as a delightful garden decoration. I can't make any promises about what'll happen if you kiss him, though, he looks like a charming prince. added on 2008-04-03
