"Mondrian hated green colour. He thought it was too obvious connection to nature which didn't go with De Stijl's theories about decomposating nature into "pure colours and forms".
With De Stijl theory in mind I decided to make some sort of a 3D painting that could also be a shelf system.
Then I did a little experiment. I painted the shelves in green tones. Mondrian was right. My square De Stijl-shelf had turned into a crown of a tree!
Tree can store all sorts of small objects and you can even hide them in the 'leaves'.
