The WeberHaus passive house features spectacular architectural design. The compass roof, circular window in the front wall, slanted supports of the balcony, colors, facade design and the large, south-facing windows - all these features are daringly designed for the future. The WeberHaus passive house has a solar energy system, controlled ventilation heating and heat recovery, and a European Installation Bus (EIB) that automatically controls all lights and roller blinds.
The WeberHaus passive house concept has won many important design and environmental protection awards. A passive house generates most of its own thermal energy and electricity. To realize its energy-saving potentials, the house must face exactly south to exploit the full power of the sun. It must have maximum thermal insulation and a heating and ventilation system that uses waste heat, geothermal energy, solar energy and other passive and regenerative sources of energy.

The WeberHaus passive house has a solar energy system, controlled ventilation heating and heat recovery, and an EIB that automatically controls all lights and roller blinds. The thermal energy requirement has been reduced to just under 15kWh per m² per year. In other words, this house requires 90% less energy than a conventional house; even low-energy houses use four times as much thermal energy. The low energy requirement of the house is covered by solar energy, the body heat of the residents and the heat generated by electrical appliances. added on 2007-08-02
